Time Recording & Productivity

Overview

Erpyrean’s Time Recording and Productivity system is in the final stage of development and is expected to be deployed to existing clients before the end of 2025.

This module extends Erpyrean’s operational visibility by capturing both estimated and actual labour time against every job, enhancing accuracy in planning, costing, and performance analysis.

Current Operation

At present, actual time taken is recorded manually within each Job record under the Operations section. This data is compared with the estimated time, providing immediate visibility of efficiency and variance at both task and job level.

The foundation of this manual process will remain integrated within the system to provide robustness in the event of fingerprint hardware failure, or for customers who prefer a manual approach.

However, the fingerprint reader interface will be the preferred option, as it not only records time but links each entry to the individual through the HR module enabling more detailed and accurate reporting and analysis.

Biometric and Automated Time Capture

Already completed and in testing is the fingerprint reader interface, fully integrated with Erpyrean’s Human Resources module. This interface records staff entry and exit times, while also enabling factory operators to log in and out of individual jobs directly.

By linking biometric data with live operational activity, Erpyrean ensures precise, tamper-resistant time capture that supports accurate job performance analysis and continuous improvement in time estimation and efficiency.

Development and Future Enhancements

Ongoing development is focused on refining the handling of break times and supporting mobile workers such as service engineers who regularly leave and return to the premises.

The completed system will include an independent, online record of personnel presence, accessible from any mobile device. This feature will satisfy fire regulation and safety requirements by providing real-time visibility of who is in the building even if the main system or local network is unavailable.

The current system also includes management and communication functions for a mobile app designed for field service engineers. The completed app will fully integrate with Erpyrean’s core modules, enabling real-time data updates for service, installation, and breakdown jobs, ensuring that off-site activity remains connected and traceable within the main system.Ongoing development is focused on refining the handling of break times and supporting mobile workers such as service engineers who regularly leave and return to the premises.

Data Protection and Compliance

All captured time and attendance data is handled in accordance with Erpyrean’s built-in GDPR compliance framework, ensuring that personal information is stored and processed securely. This compliance extends across biometric, operational, and HR-related data, upholding the principles of lawful, fair, and transparent data handling.

Summary

The Time Recording and Productivity module strengthens Erpyrean’s position as a fully integrated operational management system. By combining biometric precision with operational flexibility, it will deliver a complete picture of workforce activity, supporting accurate costing, compliance, and workplace safety within a single connected environment.
